How To: OS X Mountain Lion Looks Like on Windows 7

Lion UX

I will show you the easiest way how to get Apple OS X Mountain Lion interface on your Windows 7. This is a shell theme, which means this will replace the original *.dll and explorer but you don't need to do that manually, everything will done in one click. And also simple one click to remove this.

Before you start, you need to download Lion UX Pack, Tweaks Logon, and Windows 7 Start Button Changer, and don't forget to take ownership of explorer.exe (Located in C:\Windows\) and make a backup, just copy it to somewhere else. See how to take ownership of file from here.

Then follow my instruction below.
First, before you open those files above, you need to create "System Restore Point", just to prepare if everything goes wrong. Open Control Panel, and search for "Create System Restore", open it. Click "Create", write restore point name, then choose "Create". Wait for a few seconds until finished.

Second, run as administrator Lion UX Pack 1.0.exe that you have downloaded from link above. Then you will see a window like this.

I suggest to uncheck "Start Orb", because get some weird looking when this one is checked. Click "Install", and wait until everything is done. Because of disabling "Start Orb", you may cause some problem, like no taskbar appear, when this program tried to start new explorer.exe process. When this is happened, just press "Ctrl+Alt+Del", "Start Task Manager", "New Task", type explorer.exe, then OK.

Third, download and extract Minimal Taste Start Orb by dpcdpc11, run as administrator Windows 7 Start Button Changer, click "Select & Change Start", choose minimal_taste.bmp. You can download another Start Orb from deviantart.

The Last One, run as administrator Tweaks Logon. Click "Change Logon Screen", choose your favorite image.

Everything is done, enjoy your new Windows 7 interface.
